Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is the closest park that can be reached in about 45 minutes to a 1-hour drive from Arusha city, making it to be a popular option for day trip visitors. The park is nestled beneath the slopes of Mount Meru that is providing a breathtaking view from the way to and during a game drive.

Arusha National Park is home to many blue monkeys, Black and white colobus monkeys, Zebra, Giraffes, Warthogs, Gazelles, Buffalos, and dik-diks. The shore of two Momela lakes has an overwhelming view with many bird species, such as migrant flamingos, little Grebes, Storks, Pelicans, doves, and crown Cranes yet uncountable plant species.

A walking safari is included as part of our tour. An armed ranger leads a 1:30hr walk to a beautiful waterfall. Walking allows you to touch and smell the park closely when passing through Buffalo glades, as well as see and learn about insects, animal footsteps, animal drops, medicinal plants, and different landforms that are not possible while in a vehicle. Among the animals to be seen on the walk are buffalos, giraffes, and zebras.

In the afternoon, we eat our packed lunch at the picnic site before driving back to Arusha city and dropping you off at your booked hotel.
