Activity 1: Mto wa Mbu village walk: It is a well-known village in the Manyara region that is home to more than 120 ethnic groups from Africa. The tour is led by a local guide and consists of a 1 hour and 30 minutes walk to various cultural sites in the village. Local farms (banana, coffee, and rice farms), local houses, socio-cultural and economic practices of locals, local markets, local products, local schools, and daily movement of locals within the village are among the many things to observe and learn during the walk. Apart from being small, Lake Manyara national park is a beautiful park nestling Along the great rift valley, there is a variety of wildlife and landscapes to admire. There are many monkeys, Zebras, Wildebeests, Hippos, Giraffes, Waterbucks, Dik-diks, Impalas, and Tree climbing Lions just to mention a few. It is best known for its more than 5,000 recorded species of birds, including migrant flamingos and numerous water birds drawn to the park’s alkaline lake, which covers a large portion of its area. Flamingos and other water birds can usually be found in small numbers along the lakeshore during the dry season.

Breakfast then we embark on crater flow for a game drive

Ranked as one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on Earth, this long-extinct volcano is the world’s largest intact caldera. Sheltering within its steep-sided walls are diverse habitats, including permanent wetlands, which support astonishing numbers of animals. Ngorongoro has long protected a thriving population of big game species: great-tusked elephants, healthy black rhinos and famous black-maned lions.

This is one of the few places in Africa where the Big 5 can be seen in a single game drive, and there is much more to observe. Herds of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra are resident here while smaller predators like caracal and serval cats are often seen along with lions and their eternal enemies, spotted hyenas.

After the game drive ascend and drive to Moshi for Dinner and Overnight

The forest offers very fresh air and is the sanctuary to many bird species and wildlife such as Blue, Velvet, Black and white Colobus monkeys. There are numerous viewpoints along the way where we can stop for refreshment and admire the beautiful view of Lushoto town and its surroundings.
